Karol Fox has been practicing law for nearly twenty years, primarily in the areas of real property taxation, probate, estate planning, and coastal law. In her real property taxation practice, Ms. Fox has represented Boards of Education, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals before numerous County Boards of Revisions, the Board of Tax Appeals, Courts of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.
Ms. Fox’s estate planning expertise includes the drafting of wills, trusts, living wills, and powers of attorney. Ms. Fox has vast experience administering estates and trusts, and representing both individual and corporate executors and trustees. For several years, Ms. Fox served as special counsel to the Franklin County Probate Court in civil commitment and indigent guardianship cases. Before recently returning to the Rich & Gillis Law Group, Ms. Fox worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office where she represented the Department of Natural Resources, primarily on coastal law matters. While working as an Assistant Attorney General, Ms. Fox served on the Attorney General’ s Alternative Energy Task Force, adjudicated for the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education Ohio High School Mock Trial Competitions, and volunteered through the Senior Project, which provides seniors and their families with assistance in facing end-of-life issues.
Ms. Fox currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Sonshine Productions, Inc. and Co-Chairs the Safe Sanctuary Committee at Bethel United Methodist Church.
